I got back into sewing after a brief hiatus and I started with this fabulous free pattern from Colette. The “Sorbetto” was recently re-launched with a sleeve option and a longer length. I printed the pattern last year and never got around to make it until now.
I’m absolutely in love with the simple shape and it’s perfect for the heat wave happening here in Sri Lanka. I think I might make a few more and some for my friends – it’s such a versatile and easy to make style and I highly recommend it. Go ahead, spend 2 hours and make yourself a fabulous Sorbetto
It’s almost the end of this year, and usually people make resolutions at the beginning of the year. But I am different, I make resolutions and goals whenever I feel like pushing myself.
Although I have been sewing a lot this year, I want to do a project that is constant and will give me a chance to explore more into sewing and learn new techniques. So I have decided to do a 100 me made outfits project – and the deadline will be my next birthday. Which gives me 195 days.
So here’s wishing myself, focus, perseverance and patience to finish 100 outfits in 195 days!
Happy 4th of July to all the beautiful ladies in the USA and a happy Monday to everyone else around the world. I woke up dreaming about an off shoulder sundress and that is exactly what I made in the first half of my Monday and I absolutely love it!
I am planning to conduct a lesson on it as well so this was the first prototype, I have plans to make more. So keep tuning in.
I’ve made quite a few pieces for the past few days and I absolutely love all of them. I wish I had the time to give each one of those makes their own posts but sadly I don’t. So here’s a summary of all the pieces that I have sewed for the past couple of days. Enjoy!
