Striped Shift Dress

Hello Sewcialists of the world,

It’s time to talk about my second dress for my me-made-100 challenge. As I mentioned to you all in my previous post, I am challenging myself to make 100 pieces of clothing for this year, and to record them on my blog.

As per my goal, I need to make at least 5 pieces per month if I need to reach it. So far my pace is a bit too slow and I need to work on that.

Number 2 – The Striped Shift Dress

I started off with two sketches and was having a dilemma about what to make. I preferred the sleeved version but then I took to my Facebook page and asked everyone what they think is better. And the majority requested to make the sleeveless version, so I went with the popular demand and I am glad I did. I loved it in the end!

Here is the dress modeled by my dress form which I fondly call “Zoya”

And this is me wearing it…
