Sewing for others

Hello Sewcialists,

Did you’ll watch the movie, Dressmaker? I did. Thrice already and I love it. After watching it, I thought I should give more thought about sewing for others and today I am sharing a few projects that I have been doing for the past couple of weeks for others. It’s a challenge to sew as per their individual preferences, and me being a sewing introvert, thought it’s a good challenge. I honestly cannot say I enjoy 100% but it’s an amazing learning curve. So here are my favorites from the recent past…

#1 – MODEST IN AZTEC TUNIC

  • Design – Tunic top to wear with leggings
  • Pattern – New Look 6145 pattern hack (Shortened and shaped from the side seams)
  • Sewing time – 4 hours
  • Fabric – Polyester

#2 – VINTAGE DOTS DRESS

  • Inspiration –

  • Sewing time – 10 hours
  • Fabric – 100% Cotton
  • Details – Added a white trim to complete the hem

#3 – FLORAL LINEN DRESS

  • Pattern – New Look 6145
  • Sewing time – 5 hours
  • Fabric – 100% Linen (floral Print)
  • Details – Fully lined with white Polyester

#4 – NAVY POLKA DOTS

  • Sewing time – 6 hours
  • Fabric – 100% Cotton
  • Details – Contrast bias binding finish around armhole

#5 – TANGERINE  MAXI

  • Pattern – Burda Style 7114 pattern hack (lengthened | added side slits | excluded collar detail)
  • Sewing time – 6 hours
  • Fabric – 100% Cotton Burnout

#5 – RETRO RED

  • Sewing time – 3 hours
  • Fabric – Textured Knit
  • Details – White cotton trim

Hope you all like it. I can’t wait to make more. Sewing is the best challenge that I have taken up and I am falling more in love with it after every finished project!
