Three months are almost over of 2016, and it’s crazy! Am I the only one who feels that time is sprinting or is it the same for all of you?
Anyways to keep my self focused and to expand my sewing and pattern-making knowledge ,I have decided to make a 100 pieces wardrobe for the next nine months. I believe this will help me dive into more challenging projects because I have a tendency to repeat the same pattern if I am absolutely in love with it and if it fits me perfectly.
Although I am starting this series with an already made pattern, which is Tilly and the Button’s Megan Dress that I absolutely love, I incorporated some embroidery and applique to give it some personality.
I made the dress for the Good Friday Service and I cannot wait to wear it although Sri Lanka is burning in this heat right now. The heat wave is unbearable and I hope I don’t faint while wearing a black dress at a 3pm outdoor service 🙂
Style #1 – The Good Friday Dress
- Pattern – Tilly and the Buttons Megan Dress
- Fabric – Stretch Linen
- Sewing Time – 2 hours
- Changes to the pattern – Reduced 2″ from the CB line
Hope you all like it! Till the next project!
