I love looking through vintage fashion catalogues, during the time people could buy things through mail order. I have a small collection that I found from a local vintage bookstore and I will write a post on them soon. The inspiration for my second piece for the Selfish Sewing Week was inspired by an outfit from a 1968 catalogue.
I love the 60’s fashion and the silhouettes and especially the fact that women matched their shoes to their outfits. If I can go back in time, It’ll surely be to the sixties. Here is my version of the Lime/Teal Color combo dress
Fabric – Linen
Trims – Invisble Zipper and Teal beads from the stash
Sewing time – 5-6 hours
Improvements for self – Bias binding finish around the armhole for linen is not very neat, instead use a facing.
Hope you all like it… Till Tomorrow…
